Thomson invests in upgrade

Thomson Cruises is to upgrade several public areas onboard Thomson Dream and Thomson Celebration.

Part of the cruise line’s modernisation strategy, the refit follows on from a 2012 upgrade of both ships’ cabins and some public areas.

Updates to the vessels’ public areas will include a new sunbathing deck with lounges and an Asian-themed a la carte restaurant – Kora La – on each ship. In addition, the line will update the menu and décor in the Terrace Grill onboard Thomson Dream, while the ship’s former Argo Lounge will be replaced by The Explorers’ Lounge & The Coffee Port and Oceans Bar will reopen as Tides Bar.

“Listening to our customers is at the heart of all our planning, which is why we are investing further in both Thomson Dream and Celebration to give passengers an even better experience onboard,” said Helen Caron, managing director of Thomson Cruises. “We are confident customers will love the enhanced dining experience in the a la carte restaurants and the overall new look of both ships.”
