Costa Cruises has chosen an Italian travel agent as the godmother of its newest flagship Costa Diadema, which will be named in Genoa on 7 November.
Carolina Miceli was selected from more than 700 women in 50 countries due to her postitive attitude, her passion for the travel agent industry and because she emobides Costa Cruises’ values.
“I’m really thrilled and honoured to have such an important role in this unique event,” said Miceli. “During my job as travel agent I’ve always proposed Costa cruises as the best example of the Italian lifestyle. So becoming the godmother of Costa Diadema, which will be the new symbol of Italy’s finest, is not only a great pleasure, but also a great inspiration to do even better.”
Miceli will be joined by four maids of honour – from Germany, Spain, France and China – when she christens the ship from the stage in the ship’s Emerald Theatre After the christening, all five women will be guests of honour at an onboard gala dinner.
From 8 November until the end of summer 2015, Costa Diadema will be deployed in the Mediterranean, sailing seven-day cruises to Marseille, France; Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca, Spain; Naples, Florence and La Spezia, Italy.
