Custom Business Solutions (CBS) has installed its NorthStar Order Entry system at restaurants, pool and beach villas on Harvest Caye, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd’s new island resort in Belize.
Opened on 17 November, Harvest Caye is the only port in Belize to feature a cruise pier and also has a large marina, a shopping village, a 15,000sqft pool with a swim-up bar, a seven-acre beach, and four restaurants and bars.
CBS’ NorthStar Order Entry is the hospitality industry’s first omnichannel cloud-based iPad POS system that allows guests to order their own food and beverages directly from their table. The system has been installed on more than 100 tablets and is now being used for guest, server and kiosk ordering in the four restaurants, at the pools and in the beach villas. At each dining venue and kiosk, the NorthStar system authenticates the age of the guest and allows them to order food and beverages at their own pace and tracks charges through the ship’s folio system.
“By creating its own port of call, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. is once again leading the industry by delivering the ultimate guest experience,” said Art Julian, CEO of Custom Business Solutions. “We are honoured to be the technology partner that has helped the company create a fully customised guest experience on an island with our cloud-based POS.”
Last year, CBS installed the NorthStar system in several dining venues onboard Norwegian Escape. Consequently, the NorthStar systems onboard the ship are connected to those on Harvest Caye.
