Destination Fredericia is to welcome its first cruise call on 7 August when Royal Caribbean International’s Legend of the Seas arrives in the Danish city.

The 2,076-guest vessel will be welcomed by a canon salute and a musical performance, while guests will be able to enjoy various activities in the quay area.

Cruise guests can enjoy tours to various attractions located within an hour’s drive from the port including the UNESCO World Heritage site of Royal Jelling, Legoland in Billund, the Hans Christian Andersen house and museum in Odense, Egeskov Castle and Koldinghus Royal Castle.

Fredericia Port, which is owned by ADP and has six ships scheduled for 2015, has three dedicated cruise quays, including one with an overall length of 350 metres and 12 metres water depth. The turning basin has no restrictions, enabling large cruise ships to turn and dock safely.
