Cunard is to carry out an “era-defining” refurbishment of Queen Elizabeth ahead of its inaugural Caribbean and Alaska seasons in 2025.
The 2,000-guest ship will be renovated at Seatrium’s Admiralty Yard in Singapore between 25 February and 13 March 2025. Cunard will update the ship’s exterior and interiors in signature spaces, such as the Garden Lounge and Panorama Pool Club.
The Queens Room will be refreshed with a new dancefloor, furniture and soft furnishings, while the furniture, fixtures and fittings will all be upgraded in the Commodore Club. Meanwhile, staterooms and suites will be equipped with new mattresses, soft furnishings, balcony furniture, USB ports and in-room entertainment systems.

Cunard will also enhance the Grills experience, upgrading the exclusive lounge, terrace and restaurant and suites. The restaurant will also offer a new exclusive menu curated by Michelin-starred chef Michel Roux.
“Crafting exclusive new menus for Cunard’s Grills guests is an extraordinary privilege,” said Roux. “This project allows me to blend my passion for fine dining with the timeless elegance and sophistication that define the Cunard Grills experience. Each dish is carefully created to celebrate the finest ingredients, ensuring every meal is as special as the voyage itself. I’m incredibly fond of my partnership with Cunard and I’m really excited to continue this luxury collaboration in 2025.”
Cunard will also introduce The Pavilion Wellness Café and the Harper’s Bazaar Wellness at Sea programme, both of which debuted on Queen Anne when it launched in early 2024.
“As Queen Elizabeth prepares for her highly anticipated debut seasons in the Caribbean from Miami and Alaska from Seattle, this transformation marks an exciting new chapter for Cunard,” said Katie McAlister, president of Cunard. “Inspired by the beauty of these extraordinary destinations, the ship’s revitalisation will seamlessly blend timeless elegance with modern comforts, creating an unparalleled guest experience.”
Queen Elizabeth will begin sailing Alaska cruises from Seattle, Washington, in June 2025, before beginning its Caribbean season from Miami, Florida, on 16 October. This will mark the first time in Cunard’s history that all of its ships will spend the full season in Miami.
