Rescompany (Resco) is to implement its property management system (PMS) and point of sale system (POS) onboard TUI Cruises’ three latest newbuilds.

The systems will be fitted to Mein Schiff 4, which is due to debut in June 2015; Mein Schiff 5, which will launch in 2016; and Mein Schiff 6, which will be delivered in 2017.

Part of the Resco ship management system, which covers all aspects of onboard operations, Resco PMS will help TUI to manage reservations, as well as gangway traffic, arrivals, check-in and check-out procedures, and more.

Designed to support the operations of all TUI’s revenue-generating departments – including food and beverage venues – Resco POS will enable the operator to monitor sales information and terminals; print and control guest cheques and charges; control excursions sales; and monitor staff and guests accounts. In addition, the solution will enable TUI to manage waiter’s information; gratuity calculations and discounts; stock control; and provide various sales reports, such as sales information per server, item and outlets.

TUI has operated Resco systems onboard Mein Schiff 1 since she debuted in 2009 and has since installed the solutions onboard Mein Shchiff 2 and Mein Schiff 3.
