MSC Cruises is to expand its fly-cruise packages in the Middle East between December 2016 and March 2017.
For the first time, MSC Cruises will offer guests a choice of three different weeklong roundtrips from Abu Dhabi onboard MSC Fantasia, which will operate in rotation over the 16-week season. All cruises will include an overnight in Dubai and a visit to the United Arab Emirate’s new Sir Bani Yas Island desert conservation area and wildlife park. Guests will also be able to visit destinations such as Manama, Bahrain; Doha, Qatar; Muscat and Khasab, Oman; Khor al Fakkan, Fujairah.
Similar to MSC’s winter 2015-2016 season, guests will be able to embark in either Abu Dhabi or Dubai, enabling them to combine two sailings into a 14-night voyage. Passengers embarking in Abu Dhabi can fly from London and Manchester in England, or Dublin in the Republic of Ireland with Etihad Airways. Meanwhile, those heading to Dubai can take Emirates flights from London, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow in Scotland.
“Since MSC Cruises began its Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Oman programme in 2011 it has gone from strength to strength,” said Giles Hawke, MSC’s executive director UK and Ireland. “Every year we have seen increasing numbers of British holidaymakers heading off to explore these fascinating destinations in the sunshine.
The 3,274-guest MSC Fantasia will be the newest and largest cruise ship ever to operate in the Middle East.
