UnCruise Adventures is to offer 10 cruises in the Galápagos Islands onboard the 48-guest La Pinta between 22 February and 4 October 2017.
One updated itinerary is the nine-day ‘Darwin’s Islands & Colonial Quito’ trip, which includes a two-night stay at the Casa Gangotena in Quito and seven days of cruising to destinations in Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands.
Another highlight will be the seven-day cruise from Isla Baltra to the islands of Seymour Norte, Isabela, Fernandina, Rábida, Santa Cruz and Floreana. Highlights include visits to seven islands with stops at the Charles Darwin Research Center, the geological marine site of Punta Vicente Roca on Isla Isabela, as well as a visit to Isla Rábida’s red beach.
“Visiting the Galápagos Islands is a once in a lifetime opportunity for most people,” said Captain Dan Blanchard, CEO of UnCruise Adventures. “The wildlife encounters here are unforgettable, and combined with time in Quito, it’s a well-rounded tour of two must-see UNESCO sites.”
Guests will be able to join guided tours and small-group adventure activities led by expert naturalists, enabling them to see birds and wildlife in their natural habitat. They will also be able to kayak, walk, hike, skiff, snorkel and take a glass-bottom boat.
Available add-on tours include a four-night Amazon rain forest cruise aboard the Anakonda, which takes guests on the Napo River, to the UNESCO Biological Reserve Yasuni National Park and the Pañacocha Biological Corridor, home to pink and grey river dolphins, monkeys, manatee and caiman.
A second adventure tour exploring Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, and the Sacred Valley in Peru. This six-night tour visits Lima, Chinchero, Ollantaytambo, Moray, Maras, Machu Picchu and Cusco, and includes guided tours to Inca sites and towns in the Sacred Valley.
