TUI Cruises’ Mein Schiff 1 and Mein Schiff 2 simultaneously called at Valletta Cruise Port in Malta on 13 October.
To mark the event, Quays 1 and 2 saw the ships’ captains take part in a flag-exchange ceremony, which was followed by a surprise flash mob delivered by the two vessels’ crews.
An in-guardia re-enactment depicting historical events that occurred during the Knights of St John period, was conducted courtesy of the Malta Tourism Authority.
Prior to Mein Schiff 1 and Mein Schiff 2 departing the port, passengers and crew were treated to a fireworks display organised by Malta Tourism Authority, SMS International and Valletta Cruise Port.
AIDAmar, Seven Seas Mariner and Paul Gauguin Cruises’ Tere Moana were also in port on the day.
