Denmark’s Port of Skagen is expecting to welcome 42 cruise ships and up to 68,500 guests in 2018, an increase of 100% from 2017.
The port will welcome 11 inaugural calls from cruise lines such as Princess Cruises and Viking Cruises.
The port will also introduce new cruise tours and new shore excursions in 2018, which include canoeing, horseback riding and cycling tours.
“Skagen is truly a biker’s paradise with the even and beautiful landscape and safe surroundings,” said Anne Sofie Rønne Jensen, cruise manager at the Port of Skagen. “The cruise ships calling at Skagen are selling more and more bike tours and increasing numbers of independent cruise guests are exploring Skagen on bicycles. Due to this we have also created more bike tour options for our tour selection”
