AIDA introduces new cruises to mark 20th anniversary

AIDA Cruises is to offer new AIDA Selection itineraries onboard AIDAcara, AIDAvita and AIDAaura to mark its 20th anniversary.

The AIDA Selection itineraries will start on 11 February 2017 with AIDAcara’s ‘Winter in the High North’ itineraries cruises will start in Hamburg, Germany and take guests to see the Northern Lights and the fjords.

Starting in summer 2017, all three ships will offer AIDA Selection cruises. Highlights will include AIDAcara’s calls at Ilulissat, Nuuk and Qaaortoq in Greenland, and Reykjavik, Akureyri and Seydisfjördur in Iceland. Meanwhile, AIDAvita will take guests to the North Cape and the Lofoten islands in Norway. Guests will also enjoy extended port stays and an onboard programme that reflects the cultural and culinary traditions of the destinations the ships visit.

AIDA, which christened its first ship AIDAcara on 7 June 1996, marked its 20th anniversary yesterday with more than 23,000 guests and celebrities joining in various celebratory activities onboard all 11 of it ships.
