AIDA Cruises’ AIDAdiva kicked off Rostock-Warnemünde’s 2016 cruise season on 28 April.
The 252m AIDAdiva arrived at the German port with around 2,300 guests, marking the end of her 13-day cruise from Tenerife, Spain. The same evening, the vessel departed on a four-day ‘Anchors aweigh!’ voyage to Oslo, Norway and Copenhagen, Denmark.
AIDAdiva will sail 16 departures from Rostock-Warnemünde between 28 April and 28 August. Highlights will include a ten-day Baltic cruise bound for St. Petersburg, Russia; Stockholm, Sweden; Helsinki, Finland; Tallinn, Estonia; Copenhagen; and Danzig in Gdansk, Poland.
“In our 20th anniversary year, we have again increased our range of travel options in the Baltic Sea and Northern Europe,” said Felix Eichhorn, president of AIDA Cruises. “AIDA and Rostock have been fostering a close partnership for many years. Thanks to our commitment which we have continued to expand, the city has become one of the most important cruise destinations in the Baltic region.”
Meanwhile, AIDA Cruises’ AIDAmar will offer 25 seven-day Baltic cruises from Rostock-Warnemünde starting on 7 May and ending on 15 October with a transatlantic cruise to New York, US via Hamburg in Germany, Norway, Greenland and Canada.
Togther, AIDAdiva and AIDAmar will offer 41 departures from Rostock-Warnemünde, making the cruise line one of the port’s main partners.
