AIDA Cruises’ AIDAmar opened Le Havre’s 2016 cruise season on 25 February, making the first in a series of seven calls at the French port.

In 2016, Le Havre expects to host a record 285,000 passengers during 128 cruise calls. This will include ten inaugural calls from ships such as AIDA Cruises’ AIDAprima, which will make weekly visits throughout the year. In addition, MSC Cruises’ MSC Splendida is to make five interporting or partial turnaround calls, while Costa Cruises is to make eight and Oceania Cruises is to make one.

May and September are set to be the busiest months of the season.
