AIDAstella marked her inaugural visit to the port of Le Havre, France on 24 March 2013 with an onboard plaque exchange ceremony between the cruise line and local representatives from the city.

During the onboard ceremony, Agnès Firmin Le Bodo, president of the Cruise Club, presented Captain Nico Berg with a plaque symbolising the architecture of Le Havre, while Berg donated a lithograph of AIDAstella to the city.

AIDA has 39 calls scheduled at the port in 2013, including 11 calls from AIDAstella, 14 from AIDAsol, seven from AIDAluna, four from AIDAcara and two from AIDAmar, while AIDAbella will visit the port once. Le Havre’s cruise season began on 21 March with AIDAluna and ends on 24 December with AIDAsol, following 124 calls from a variety of cruise lines throughout the year.
