'All Inclusive' for Crystal

Luxury cruise line Crystal Cruises has begun the transition to an ‘All Inclusive’ policy for its ships.

The new approach, which was introduced on Crystal Symphony’s Miami to Lisbon Trans-Atlantic cruise on 19 March following a year of planning, will see passengers benefit from a simpler transaction experience onboard the line’s two vessels. It covers a range of amenities, from fine wines and premium spirits to open bar service in all lounges and pre-paid gratuities for all housekeeping, butler, bar and dining staff. Crystal Serenity will adopt the approach with her spring Trans-Atlantic sailing in May.

Brands served as part of the all-inclusive policy include Grey Goose, Maker’s Mark, Macallan Select, Hennessy V.S.O.P and Herradura Silver. The line says wines and champagnes include higher-end vintages from both boutique makers and big-name wineries.

The company’s president, Gregg Michel, told ICFR: “We have had a terrific reaction to the concept in the marketplace and it will form part of our Crystal product from now on. It is a simpler message for distributors to communicate and is recognised by the luxury cruise market.”

Thomas Mazloum, senior vice president, operations, remarked: “Our ‘All Inclusive’ offers a luxuriously comfortable guest experience that focuses, as always, on incredible quality and impeccable execution. This transition further enhances the extraordinary ease and value of a Crystal vacation.”
