Food handling systems supplier Almaco is to provide a comprehensive handling package for the galleys onboard AIDA Cruises’ two 3,300-passenger newbuilds.

Almaco will design, supply and deliver all of the equipment for the ship’s galleys, pantries, bars and buffet areas. The company will also deploy its refrigeration equipment monitoring solution to control the temperature of the ships’ cold stores and galley refrigerator plant.

AIDA’s vessels are currently under construction at Japan’s Mitsubishi Heavy Industries shipyard and are due to be delivered in March 2015 and 2016.
