Multiple exhibitors from the design, outfitting, technical equipment and other sectors have already signed up to join SMM’s Marine Interiors Cruise & Ferry Expo, including Finnish supplier of ship interiors Almaco.
In just two months since its launch in January 2019, the event sold 75% of its exhibitor slots. It will take place on 11-13 September alongside the 10th Seatrade Europe – Cruise and River Cruise Convention and the Hamburg Cruise Days at the Hamburg Messe exhibition centre.
"We are excited about the positive response of the industry,” said Bernd Aufderheide, president and CEO of Hamburg Messe und Congress. “It shows us that it was the right decision to act upon a request expressed by many exhibitors and establish a separate industry fair dedicated entirely to the fast-growing passenger ship interior design segment.”
Visitors to the show will include purchasing and procurement executives, interior designers and other decision makers from shipowners and shipbuilding companies.
Alongside Almaco, US-based Headhunter will showcase sanitary equipment solutions; edition’e will present its culinary offerings including menus, table runners and decorative sets; and Polish manufacturing firm Bohamet will present its customised windows and door systems.
The event’s various conferences will enable experts to discuss topics around passenger ship interiors.
