AM Defence & Marine Services (AMDMS) carries out annual lifting inspections and five-year tests of equipment in accordance with statutory regulations to help shipowners detect possible defects and ensure compliance. Its engineers travel to vessels around the world.

AMDMS’s lifting equipment management system logs each item of equipment in a database which shows a description, location, safe working load and when the next mandatory test is due. The system reports on equipment and valid test certificates to ensure they fully meet the current legal requirements.

AMDMS maintains stocks of equipment for lifting machines and tackle, height safety applications, ropes and specialist rigging. The company works with a range of manufacturers, ensuring short lead times for non-stock items and specialist knowledge for every application.
