Amadeus River Cruises will debut its newest ship, Amadeus Aurea, on the Rhine, on 26 May 2026. The ship will be powered by a hybrid propulsion system designed to reduce emissions and will cater for up to 158 guests in 12 suites with balconies and 67 cabins with panoramic windows.

Amadeus Aurea will also feature the Panorama Restaurant, River Terrace, fitness room and a heated outdoor pool with sun deck and bar. The ship will also utilise an onboard heat recovery system in order to limit its carbon emissions.

In 2026 Amadeus River Cruises will offer 17 itineraries onboard 14 river ships (including Amadeus Aurea) visiting 13 countries. The cruise operator’s new Rhine Concert Cruise onboard Amadeus Cara is a six-night itinerary from Cologne in Germany to Amsterdam in The Netherlands, the highlight of which will be a performance by Dutch violinist and conductor André Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra in the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. The voyage departs on 5 January 2026.
