Lüftner Cruises’ new flagship Amadeus Silver was launched by Doris Heger, a member of the Lüftner family, on 12 April 2013 in Amsterdam.

The vessel features 78 enlarged standard cabins with French balconies, as well as 12 Amadeus suites with exterior balconies, an exclusive River Terrace open-air lounge in the ship’s bow, the Panorama restaurant and bar, the new Café Vienna and the Amadeus Saloon. It also has a two-deck high fitness studio, massage room, sundeck with shaded seating and Lido bar, and a golf putting green and outdoor games facilities, as well as the Amadeus Club with the ship’s library and internet access.

Amadeus Silver is the line’s first 135-metre vessel and was constructed at the De Hoop Shipyard in Netherlands. It is expected to achieve the ‘Green Globe Certification Highest Achievement Award’ in 2013 for its sustainability efforts and resource management measures.

The 180-passenger ship will begin service on the European rivers in April 2013 and will offer more than 30 departures on seven different routes on the Rhine, the Main and the Danube, as well as the waterways of Belgium and Holland during the 2014 cruise season.
