AmaWaterways debuted its new 158-passenger AmaStella on 10 March.
AmaStella is the first of the line’s vessels to feature connecting staterooms designed to accommodate groups and multi-generational travellers. The vessel has 12 staterooms that can each accommodate up to three people, six sets of adjoining cabins that can be connected via an internal doorway to cater for groups of five, and four suites with convertible sofabeds that can accommodate up to four people. She also features more of AmaWaterways’ signature twin-balcony (French and outside balconies) staterooms.
All staterooms are equipped with AmaWaterways’ Entertainment on Demand system, which provides complimentary internet access, the latest movies, a music library and more.
“This is a very special time for AmaWaterways, as we welcome our newest ship, AmaStella, and prepare to unveil her sister ship, AmaViola, this spring,” said Kristin Karst, executive vice president and co-owner of AmaWaterways. “For nearly 15 years, AmaWaterways has been dedicated to bringing innovation and creativity to the river cruise industry. We are thrilled with what we’ve achieved with our newest class of ships and look forward to welcoming our guests aboard in the years ahead.”
Featuring destination-inspired décor, the vessel also offers The Chef’s Table speciality restaurant, a sun deck, a heated pool with a swim-up bar, and an expanded fitness room, salon and massage area. The fitness and wellness area has also been moved to the lower deck. Guests can also enjoy complimentary unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks with lunch and dinner.
AmaStella’s maiden voyage set sail from Amsterdam in the Netherlands to Budapest in Hungary. Following her inaugural journey, the vessel will embark on several of AmaWaterways’ most popular itineraries, including ‘Tulip Time’, ‘The Romantic Danube’, ‘Melodies of the Danube’ and ‘Christmas Markets on the Danube’.
