Apple iStudy courses are now available on all Cunard cruise ships following the latest opening on the Queen Victoria.
The new Apple Learning Centre completes a trilogy of iStudy offerings including those already on the line’s flagship Queen Mary 2 and the Queen Elizabeth.
Using the latest iMac machines, guests from beginner to advanced levels can get to grips with technology in workshops and confidence-building seminars, covering basic computing to movie-making, learning Facebook and the intricacies of iPads.
Course creator and iStudy presenter trainer Richie Litchfield said: “All the seminars and workshops are fronted by specially trained presenters to make learning fun, in a positive and relaxing environment."
He added: “There is something for everyone – from the beginner to the more advanced – and our aim is for guests to walk out of the iStudy feeling enriched and more confident.”
Transatlantic workshops on the Queen Mary 2 crossing between New York and Southampton are proving popular among iPad-owning passengers, with guests bringing their own devices to iStudy sessions.
Cunard Line president Peter Shanks said: “The concept is great for those who are already confident with Apple products as well as for those who want to try out an iPad, or learn how to get the best out of devices they already own.”
Guest computer services managers have all been trained in the latest Apple technology.
