In 2016, Azamara Club Cruises is to sail 44 maiden calls in Australia, New Zealand, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Europe and the West Indies.
Known for its destination-immersive cruises, Azamara will deploy its two boutique ships – Azamara Quest and Azamara Journey – on a total of 204 ports of call in 70 countries.
During her inaugural Australia season, Azamara Quest will sail a Christmas and New Year’s voyage, from Bali, Indonesia, to Cairns, Australia. The ship will then offer four voyages in 2016 to coastal cities along the Coral Sea, Tasmania and New Zealand.
Azamara Quest will then offer three itineraries visiting destinations throughout Japan, China and Southeast Asia. The ship will then sail into the Mediterranean for a voyage spanning the Far East, the Arabian Gulf and Aegean Sea, before arriving in Athens, Greece.
Sailing roundtrip from Dubai in late 2016, Azamara Journey will offer an ‘Arabian Nights’ itinerary featuring overnight stays in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Muscat, Oman. Highlights include visits to the new Guggenheim, Louvre and Zayed National Museums in Abu Dhabi, as well as dining at the Burj Al Arab in Dubai and the Al Bustan Palace Hotel in Muscat.
Throughout spring and winter, Azamara Journey will take guests to the rainforest in the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica; the colonial city of Antigua, Guatemala; the Cerro Verde National Park in El Salvador; and Huatulco, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas in Mexico.
Azamara Quest will also sail West Indies voyages from Miami, US, in November, sail to Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands, for New Year.
Due to their smaller size, both Azamara ships can access an increased range of European destinations in the Baltic, North, Mediterranean and Black Seas. In 2016, the ships will call at various European ports such as Nice and Sanary-sur-Mer, France; Portovenere (Cinque Terre) and Amalfi, Italy; and Chania, Crete and Patmos, Greece.
Guests sailing onboard Azamara can also enjoy an AzAmazing Evenings event on every voyage. The exclusive and complimentary evening tour showcases a destination’s distinct culture and can be chosen through Azamara’s new Insider Access and Nights and Cool Places Land Discovery programmes.
