Michael Bayley has been appointed president and CEO of Celebrity Cruises, replacing former incumbent Dan Hanrahan.
Previously in his 30-year career at parent company Royal Caribbean International, Bayley served as executive vice president of operations and before that, as executive vice president, international.
Bayley will report to Richard Fain, chairman and CEO of Royal Caribbean Cruises. Fain remarked: “In his role as executive vice president, international, Michael successfully spearheaded our aggressive expansion efforts into emerging and high-growth markets, and most recently has overseen all operations for Royal Caribbean International.” He added: “Fortunately, Celebrity has a very strong management team to build on and I am delighted that Michael will bring his vision, passion and drive to bear on the continued growth of this important brand.”
