Celebrity Cruises president and CEO Michael Bayley will present the Rama Rebbapragada Award for outstanding contribution to the cruise industry in Asia at UBM’S 2013 Cruise Shipping Asia-Pacific conference.
The award was established in the memory of Rebbapragada, who was instrumental in promoting the potential of the Asia-Pacific cruise market to Western cruise brands. It will be presented to someone who has played a significant role in developing the region’s cruise industry.
Cruise Shipping Asia-Pacific conference will be held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore from 8-10 October and offers cruise lines, destinations, suppliers and travel agents the opportunity to discuss the trends into the region’s emerging cruise markets.
This year’s conference will feature the first Asia Cruise Tourism Summit, a convergence of leading government officials, ministerial level officials, senior executives from the cruise lines and worldwide ports.
It will also offer a comprehensive training programme for Asian travel agents, enabling them to identify the key selling points and strategies to help increase business in the region.
