Nova Star Cruises has partnered with Shipyard Brewing Company to offer passengers the chance to learn more about the brewery’s handcrafted beer during an exclusive overnight cruise.
Held from 12-13 August, the 22-hour ‘Sail with Shipyard’ cruise will take place on Nova Star, which was launched on the route between the Canadian port of Yarmouth in Nova Scotia and Portland, US, on 15 May 2014.
“We’re very pleased to be joining with Shipyard, one of the country’s best beer makers, to offer what is sure to be a memorable event aboard Nova Star,” said Owen John, vice president, sales and marketing for Nova Star Cruises. “Passengers will get to enjoy many of Shipyard’s finest brews and learn more about them while sailing in style between Portland and Nova Scotia. For beer lovers and anyone interested in learning more about Maine craft beer, this is an event they don’t want to miss.”
Guests will board Nova Star at 8 pm and enjoy a welcome reception with complimentary beer tasting in the ship’s Piper’s Pub. During the return voyage from Yarmouth, passengers can attend a presentation by the Shipyard brew master and enjoy a video tour of Shipyard Brewery, as well as a four-course, chef-prepared lunch with beer pairings. Passengers will receive a Shipyard gift bag and can also use all of the amenities onboard Nova Star, including a casino, full service spa and duty-free shops.

Customers at Shipyard’s eight locations can enter a raffle to win a free ‘Sail to Shipyard’, while a second free cruise will be offered on Nova Star Cruises’ Facebook page.

This August, Shipyard will also sponsor Friday night ‘Bon Voyage Brews & Crews’ parties on Nova Star’s Lido Deck.
