British adventurer and TV presenter has also created new exclusive ‘Great Adventure’ shore excursions

Adventurer and TV personality Ben Fogle is to continue his role as Celebrity Cruises’ official ‘Destination Expert’ and host two of Celebrity reflection’s European sailings in summer 2016.
Guests on both sailings will be given the opportunity to attend Fogle’s complimentary onboard travel seminars and talks to hear more about his past adventures. The first 11-day sailing will depart Rome, Italy on 25 April and take guests to destinations in Greece, Turkey and Italy. The second will depart Rome on 10 October and take guests to the same destinations.
Fogle has also worked with Celebrity to extend his programme of exclusive ‘Great Adventure’ shore excursions to include four new adventures in select European destinations. These include rafting in Rome, Italy; hiking in Kotor, Montenegro, mountain biking in Malaga, Spain and a speedboat experience in Helsinki Archipelago, Finland. Curated by Fogle, each Great Adventure is designed to enable guests to explore destinations in a more adventurous way.
“Developing the new Great Adventures has been a hugely exciting project and I am thrilled to be able to share my passion for taking the road less travelled with Celebrity Cruises’ guests,” said Fogle. “Each tour has been designed to appeal to those keen to immerse themselves in fascinating cultures, indulge in great food and marvel at breath-taking scenery. I’m really looking forward to joining the sailings this year also. Celebrity Cruises’ guests are very well travelled themselves so I’m keen to learn more about their own travel tales as much as they are mine.”
Guests enjoying the ‘Soft Rafting Urban Experience’ will be able to pass Rome’s landmarks including the Palace of Justice and St. Peter’s Basilica as they ride down the River Tiber.
Those taking the ‘Hiking the City Walls’ tour in Kotor, Montenegro will be able to hike to the highest point of the town’s fortified walls and St. John’s Fortress.
The ‘Malaga Mountain Cycle’ will enable guests to cycle through the Montes de Malaga National Park and finish the tour with traditional Spanish tapas, while the ‘Archipelago Speedboat Adventure’ in Helsinki will allows guests to travel through the archipelago at a speed of up to 40 knots. Guests will travel past Embassy Park, the Suomenlinna Island Fortress and the Open Air Market before heading out to the narrow Kustaanmiekka straight and then visit an island to enjoy traditional Finnish cuisine.
