Celebrity Cruises has become the official cruise line partner of Boston College Athletics, enabling both organisations to offer guests premium experiences and entertainment.
Miami-based Celebrity Cruises will be recognised as the ‘Official Cruise Line of the Boston College Eagles’ as part of the partnership, which has been brokered by Fenway Sports Management (FSM). The partnership will offer the Boston College community the chance to enjoy various, yet-to-be-announced benefits throughout the 2014-2015 season.
“We are thrilled to be working with Celebrity Cruises and welcome the company to Boston College Athletics as our official cruise line partner,” said Matt Murrey, Fenway Sports Management’s vice president of marketing partnerships. “The company’s focus on premium experiences and quality service make this an ideal partnership for both organisations and we are excited to offer this unique opportunity to our loyal and passionate BC Eagles fans.”
In addition, the Boston College alumni and fans will be able to join Doug Flutie – a renowned Boston College alumnus, American football player and media personality – on a cruise from Seattle, Washington, to Alaska next summer.
Departing on 7 August 2015, Celebrity Solstice will offer exclusive onboard events and enable guests to meet with Flutie, as well as gain CAD$50 onboard credit and a Classic Beverage Package for two. The ship will visit various Alaska destinations such as Ketchikan, Tracy Army Fjord, Juneau, Skagway and the Alaska Inside Passage, as well as Victoria, British Columbia.
