Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ 880-guest Boudicca has returned to service after a short drydock at the Lloyd Werft shipyard in Bremerhaven, Germany.

During the drydock, which took place between 4–13 November, the line installed Café Venus, a new coffee and chocolate shop, on Lido Deck 7. The ship also features a new Morning Light Pub on Lounge Deck 6. Named after Fred. Olsen’s first ship, the informal bar replaces the former Neptune Bar, which adjoins the Neptune Show Lounge.

The line also began preparations to replace the poolside buffet area with the Grill dining venue, which will offer an à la carte breakfast and lunch menu and an evening menu when it opens next year.

Boudicca departed from Southampton, UK on 14 November on a four-night ‘Amsterdam and Antwerp’ mini-cruise. The vessel will embark on 29 voyages in the 2014-2015 cruise season from five UK ports including Southampton, Avonmouth, Liverpool, Belfast and Greenock. She will visit a range of destinations including the Amazon, the Faroe Islands and Greenland.
