UK-based Call Systems Technology (CST) has deployed a bespoke call button and staff paging system across ten of Carnival Cruise Line’s ships.

Designed to help Carnival’s onboard crew improve luggage distribution processes during passenger embarkation and disembarkation, the new EasyCall and Staff Paging technology can be accessed via call buttons on each passenger deck.

The communication system enables the crew to alert the lift operator via their pager whenever luggage needs to be moved between decks. This has significantly reduced the amount of time the crew spends moving guest luggage.

“We used our 20 years of paging expertise when reviewing the luggage and lift issues faced by Carnival Cruise Line,” said Ashley Sheppard, group commercial director at CST. “The bespoke solution we provided enhances the guest experience and effectively manages staff resources, resulting in better efficiencies and a significantly better customer experience. We’re currently in talks with the cruise line to see how we can assist it with further bespoke projects.”
