The Canadian Ferry Association’s 2024 Conference and Trade Show is set to take place in Halifax, Nova Scotia this year, focused on the theme of ‘Navigating the Waves of Change’.

The show will be hosted at the Halifax Harbourfront Hotel in Halifax, beginning with a welcome reception on 8 September. A variety of exhibitors will be present at the event, discussing their latest products and projects at an exhibition in the hotel’s Nova Scotia Ballroom.

Day one of the conference agenda, meanwhile, will begin with Callum Campbell, chair of the Canadian Ferry Association, welcoming attendees to the conference alongside Michael J. Savage, Mayor of the Halifax Regional Municipality, and Jag Gill, chair of the programs committee at the Canadian Ferry Association. Other sessions will include two operator panels, a presentation on ‘Using big data, digital twin technology and remote monitoring to improve hybrid/electric ferry operation’, and a discussion of Transport Canada’s programmes and regulations.

Day two will then offer more insights from a range of speakers, including representatives from Bureau Veritas, Interferry, BC Ferries and Damen Shipyards. The event will conclude with a Gala Dinner in the Halifax Ballroom.
