Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship, Carnival Celebration, has successfully completed sea trials in the Baltic Sea.

Officers, technicians and engineers boarded Carnival Celebration at Meyer Turku’s shipyard in Turku, Finland, to test the ship’s technical, mechanical and navigational systems.

“During her sea trials, Carnival Celebration underwent several tests, which are meant to determine the ship’s capability and her performance,” said Captain Vincenzo Alcaras. “We’ve done many manoeuvring tests, such as endurance tests, steering tests, speed tests and thrusters tests. The ship performed wonderfully, and shortly, we will get her out and start cruising.”

Carnival Celebration will debut at its new homeport of PortMiami in Florida, USA, in November 2022 and begin her inaugural season with a six-day voyage to the Eastern Caribbean. Following this, the ship will sail year-round, seven-day cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean, calling at destinations like San Juan in Puerto Rico, Cozumel in Mexico and Grand Turk in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
