Carnival Cruise Line is to update all ships with a new red, white and blue livery as it prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2022.
First seen on Carnival’s new ship Mardi Gras, the livery pays homage to maritime tradition and patriotic colours. Each ship will have a navy-blue hull inspired by the colour of the officers’ uniforms, as well as red and white accents running along their sides.
Carnival Magic will be the first ship to receive the new livery during its current dry dock in Marseilles, France. Carnival Glory will be the second ship to be updated during a dry dock in June and the remaining vessels will be transformed during their upcoming scheduled dry docks.
“When we first saw the hull design for Mardi Gras, we knew it was something special and, particularly as we get ready to celebrate our 50th birthday, we’re delighted to incorporate this stunning livery as a signature exterior design element across our fleet,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “As we look to resume sailing in the USA, we’re coming back with a signature new look as well.”
