Carnival Cruise Line has added new food and beverage concepts to its New Orleans-based ship Carnival Dream during a multi-million dollar refit in Freeport, The Bahamas.

New spaces include cocktail pharmacy-themed lounge Alchemy Bar; complimentary poolside Mexican eatery BlueIguana Cantina; full-service sushi restaurant Bonsai Sushi; Pizzeria del Capitano; and Guy’s Pig & Anchor Barbeque Smokehouse. Designed by Food Network star Guy Fieri, the open-air free-of-charge venue complements the Guy’s Burger Joints featured on Carnival Dream and 13 other Carnival ships.

Carnival Dream, which resumed service on 12 February, already offers a WaterWorks aqua park with a 304-foot water slide, a Serenity adults-only retreat, a Cloud 9 Spa with a thalassotherapy pool and thermal suite, and an indoor/outdoor live music and entertainment venue. The ship also has the Seuss at Sea experience, recreational spaces for younger passengers and various accommodation categories.

Sailing from New Orleans year-round, Carnival Dream offers three different seven-day itineraries to destinations in the Caribbean.
