Four Carnival Cruise Line ships were awarded full marks during public health inspections this September.

Carnival Liberty, Carnival Magic and Carnival Triumph each scored 100 on their respective US Public Health inspections, while Carnival Splendor earned the same marks during its Health Canada inspection. This marks the 12th time ships in the Carnival fleet have earned a perfect health inspection score this year

Conducted twice a year, the unannounced public health inspections are required for any cruise ships sailing international itineraries that include calls at US or Canadian ports. Ships are evaluated according to a number of categories including adherence to proper food handling, preparation and storage procedures; overall galley cleanliness; and the quality of the ship’s potable water supplies used in spas and pools. To earn a score of 100, cruise ships must receive full marks on all items that comprise the comprehensive USPH or Health Canada checklists.

Carnival Liberty sails year-round Caribbean departures from Port Canaveral in Florida, while Carnival Triumph and Carnival Magic operate Caribbean cruises from Galveston, Texas. Meanwhile, Carnival Splendor sails from her nnew York homeport to eastern Canada.
