Carnival Cruise Line’s 2,052-passenger Carnival Inspiration is to undergo a multimillion-dollar makeover that will add various new dining venues and bars between 18 January and 5 February.

Following a three-week drydock in Portland, Oregon, the ship will feature Guy’s Burger Joint, a complimentary poolside venue developed in partnership with TV personality Guy Fieri; BlueIguana Cantina, a complimentary poolside Mexican eatery; and Cherry On Top, which will sell confectionary, gifts, custom clothing and more.

New bars will include the poolside RedFrog Rum Bar, which will serve Caribbean rum-based frozen drinks and beers; Alchemy Bar, a vintage cocktail pharmacy-themed lounge; and BlueIguana Tequila Bar, an outdoor bar offering tequila-based frozen drinks and beers.

In addition to these new spaces, guests can also visit Carnival Inspiration’s WaterWorks aqua park with a 300ft-long Twister slide, a 24-hour pizzeria, full casino, a 12,000sqft spa, health and wellness centre, and the Serenity adults-only retreat.

Following her renovation, Carnival Inspiration will resume her year-round schedule of three- and four-day Baja cruises from Long Beach, California, to Ensenada and Catalina Island.
