Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Legend is beginning a summer season in Europe after completing a refurbishment that has added new venues and updated public areas.

The vessel now features a new Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, which honours the active-duty military and veterans that sail with Carnival. The venue is now onboard 13 Carnival ships, with each ship showcasing different, authentic military mementos. The new addition on Carnival Legend features the army boots of Deshauna Barber, godmother of Carnival Horizon and a captain in the United States Army Reserve.

Other additions include Chef’s Table, a dining experience where guests are served by the master executive chef; Dreams Studio, a photography studio; and a dedicated space for Carnival Adventures. The ship’s steakhouse has been redesigned and renamed Fahrenheit 555, the casino has been expanded and the spa rebranded as a Cloud 9 Spa and Fitness Center.

Carnival Legend’s retail shops have also been updated, while a new mini golf course has been installed on the first deck. The youth programme’s Circle C and Camp Ocean spaces have been updated as well.

Over the summer season, Carnival Legend will sail a series of 16 cruises in Europe. These will include departures from Barcelona in Spain, Dover in the UK and Civitavecchia in Italy, with itineraries visiting destinations across Spain and Portugal, the UK and Iceland, Italy and Greece. In October 2024, Carnival Legend will sail a transatlantic Carnival Journeys cruise to its new homeport of Tampa, Florida.
