Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Legend is to homeport at the Port of Tampa Bay in Florida, US from October 2019, replacing Carnival Miracle, which will be repositioned elsewhere.
Carnival Legend, which is currently undergoing a two-week dry dock in Portland, Oregon to add the line’s Fun Ship 2.0 dining and entertainment enhancements, will spend summer 2018 offering seven-day cruises from Seattle, Washington to Alaska. After repositioning to Australia, the vessel will cruise from Sydney in autumn and Melbourne in winter, before returning to Seattle in summer 2019 to offer seven-day Alaska cruises and a series of longer Carnival Journeys voyages. These will include a nine-day Alaska cruise from Vancouver in Canada, a 16-day Hawaii voyage from Vancouver and 15-day Panama Canal transit that begins in Los Angeles, California and ends in Tampa, positioning the vessel for its new schedule from that port.
Carnival Legend’s Tampa season starts on 27 October and will see the vessel replacing Carnival Miracle on her seven-day trips to Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; Cozumel, Mexico; Mahogany Bay in Roatan, Honduras; and Belize or Costa Maya. From 1-15 December, Carnival Legend will also operate a roundtrip from Tampa, which will include calls in Cozumel and Costa Rican city Limon, followed by a transit of the Panama Canal and visits to Cartagena in Colombia, Aruba, Curacao and Grand Cayman. On 25 January 2020, Carnival Legend will also offer an eight-day voyage that includes a partial transit of the Panama Canal, as well as port calls in Limon and Grand Cayman.
“At Carnival, we encourage our guests to ‘Choose Fun’ and with these voyages aboard the newly refurbished Carnival Legend we’re providing our guests with a broad spectrum of exciting cruise options featuring sought-after destinations and unique experiences ashore,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.
Carnival will reveal Carnival Miracle’s new homeport soon.
