Carnival Cruise Line’s recently refurbished Carnival Paradise is to offer an additional 20 five-day voyages from Port Tampa Bay in Florida, US to Cuba in 2019, complementing the 11 cruises it had already scheduled for next year.
Between January and December, Carnival Paradise will sail a total of 10 voyages that feature a day-long or a full day and overnight call in the Cuban capital of Havana, with stops at Key West, Florida and Cozumel in Mexico. In addition, the ship will offer six voyages that will feature a day-long call in Havana and a visit to Cozumel, as well as four cruises that include day-long calls to Havana, Key West and Cozumel.
“Our Cuba cruises have been met with phenomenal guest response since we began sailing to the island last year and we’re thrilled to add yet another 20 voyages to this fascinating and sought-after destination,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.
Carnival Sensation will also sail 17 cruises from Miami, Florida in 2019.
Guests sailing on Carnival’s Cuba cruises can select from 20 different shore excursion experiences. They include a variety of Cuban-themed activities and entertainment such as the Amor Cubano, a Caribbean Dance Romance Playlist Productions show; Havana-inspired deck parties; trivia contests; and salsa lessons. There will also be an onboard Cuba expert who will discuss the country’s history and culture.
