Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Breeze will reposition to Galveston in May 2016 and Carnival Magic to Port Canaveral in April 2016, several months earlier than previously announced.

Originally scheduled to reposition to Galveston in December 2016, Carnival Breeze will assume Carnival Magic’s year-round schedule of seven-day cruises from Galveston from 8 May. Departing every Sunday, the ship will sail three different western Caribbean itineraries, including a cruise to Montego Bay, Jamaica; Grand Cayman; and Cozumel, Mexico. Alternatively, guests can sail to Belize, Mahogany Bay in Roatan, and Cozumel, or take a seven-day Bahamas/Florida route with stops in Nassau, Freeport and Key West.

Meanwhile, Carnival Magic will take over Carnival Valor’s current seven-day Port Canaveral cruise programme from 23 April, rather than in December 2016 as planned. The ship will offer a seven-day western Caribbean cruise to Cozumel, Belize, Mahogany Bay and Costa Maya in Mexico, as well as a seven-day eastern Caribbean itinerary to St. Thomas, San Juan in Mexico, Grand Turk and Nassau or Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic.

Prior to launching its new seven-day schedule from Port Canaveral, Carnival Magic will operate a three-day cruise to Nassau 20-23 April.

“Galveston and Port Canaveral are two important markets for ‘Fun Ship’ cruising and these deployment changes provide our guests and travel agent partners with exciting new options featuring a variety of on-board innovations and visiting top destinations in the Caribbean, Mexico, Bahamas and Florida,” said Christine Duffy, Carnival’s president.

Carnival Splendor will assume Carnival Breeze’s six- and eight-day Caribbean schedule from PortMiami on 1 May 2016.

Running until December 2016, her schedule includes eight-day southern Caribbean cruises to Grand Turk; La Romana in Dominican Republic; Curaçao; and Aruba. Guests can also take eight-day eastern Caribbean cruises to Grand Turk, San Juan, St. Kitts and St. Maarten, or a three-port, six-day option featuring Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Ocho Rios in Jamaica.

In addition, Carnival Splendor will offer a nine-day Carnival Journeys roundtrip from Miami departing 26 May and featuring an overnight call in King’s Wharf in Bermuda, as well as visits to Amber Cove and Grand Turk.

Following an extensive drydock to install Fun Ship 2.0 features in spring 2016, Carnival Valor will sail new three- to five-day cruises from Port Canaveral to Grand Turk, Nassau, Freeport, and Amber Cove in May. The ship will also offer a one-time, six-day cruise departing 15 May and featuring Nassau, Amber Cove and Grand Turk, before beginning her year-round five- to eight-day voyages on 4 June.

Carnival Valor’s five-day cruises will visit Nassau, Half Moon Cay and Freeport, while her eight-day eastern Caribbean cruises will call at Grand Turk, San Juan, St. Kitts and St. Maarten. Alternate eight-day southern Caribbean sailings will include calls in Curaçao or Bonaire, Aruba and Grand Turk.
