Global cruise retail company Harding is to provide retail design and management services to P&O Cruises and Cunard until 2027.
Extending its existing 20-year partnership with the brands’ parent company Carnival UK, Harding will continue to work with P&O Cruises and Cunard to design, manage and build retail environments and create immersive brand solutions for their ships. The agreement covers a total of eight ships across the two brands, including three new vessels – two for P&O Cruises and one for Cunard.
“Working with one of the leading players in cruise retail to build a strong commercial and branded retail partnership as we enter an unprecedented period of new fleet launches for both our P&O Cruises and Cunard brands is an inspiring milestone,” said Robert Palmer, vice president of onboard revenue at Carnival UK. “Harding have shown that its agility to predict and mirror changes in land-based retail at a branded and experiential level for our guests at sea, undoubtedly gives our guests the best and most inspiring holiday retail experience.”
Harding will also develop a range of tax and duty-free product categories for each of the ships based on their guest demographics and the destinations they sail to.
“This is a real milestone in the Harding history, and I am delighted to confirm our partnership with Carnival UK across both P&O Cruises and Cunard,” said James Prescott, managing director of Harding. “We have worked closely with the senior teams based in Carnival House, Southampton in a total trinity approach to deliver the most commercial arrangement and the best products with the right experiences for the customer and destination.”
