Carnival Valor has emerged from drydock with Carnival Cruise Line’s Fun Ship 2.0 dining and bar concepts.

The vessel, which was in drydock from 23 April to 8 May, features new venues including the poolside Caribbean-themed RedFrog Rum Bar, Cherry On Top, the BlueIguana Tequila Bar, RedFrog Pub and the vintage cocktail-themed Alchemy Bar. It also offers the SkyBox Sports Bar, the complimentary Mexican eatery BlueIguana Cantina, and the poolside Guy's Burger Joint, which was developed in partnership with Food Network personality Guy Fieri.

“Carnival Valor offers a convenient and affordable choice from Port Canaveral, with a host of exciting new innovations as well as popular features like a reservations-only steakhouse and nearly 600 balcony staterooms – rare for a short cruise itinerary,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “We’re sure our guests are going to love all the new features and our travel agent partners will appreciate this exciting new cruise vacation option departing from the Space Coast.”

This May, Carnival Valor will offer a series of three- to five-day cruises from Port Canaveral to popular ports like Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos Islands; Amber Cove, Dominican Republic; Half Moon Cay, Nassau and Freeport, Bahamas. On 15 May, the ship will sail a six-day cruise to Nassau, Amber Cove and Grand Turk. From 4 June to 30 September Carnival Valor will sail five-day voyages itineraries to Nassau, Half Moon Cay and Freeport, as well as eight-day Eastern Caribbean cruises to Grand Turk, San Juan in Mexico, St. Kitts and St. Maarten. Guests can also opt for eight-day Southern Caribbean voyages to Aruba, Grand Turk and Curaçao or Bonaire.

Carnival Valor will then start her year-round three- and four-day Bahamas cruise schedule from Port Canaveral on 30 October. On this route, three-day cruises depart Thursdays and call at Nassau while four-day voyages depart Sundays and visit Nassau and Freeport.

Carnival Magic and Carnival Victory already offer year-round departures from Port Canaveral, while Carnival Sunshine operates seasonal sailings. Together, these four ships will carry more than 650,000 guests a year – more than any other cruise operator.
