Celebrity Cruises has revealed the new wellness programme to be featured onboard its latest Edge-class cruise ship, Celebrity Beyond, when she debuts in spring 2022.
The programme will include new AquaClass SkySuites, designed by British designer Kelly Hoppen. The suites feature private verandas and floor-to-ceiling ocean views and will give guests access to a range of wellness amenities. This will include access to Blu restaurant, the onboard SEA Thermal Suite, a spa concierge and priority spa reservations, a pillow menu offering options for firmness and an in-room fitness menu.
The Spa onboard Celebrity Beyond was also designed by Hoppen and will feature programming developed by spa operator OneSpaWorld. Over 120 treatments will be available, including a new collection of 12 therapies inspired by locations Celebrity’s ships visit. Other new spa offerings include an MLX I3Dome treatment table, the first Kerastase Institute salon at sea, an Ideal Image Ocean MedSpa and a new menu of services for workout recovery.
At the centre of The Spa will be the Sea Thermal Suite, a collection of eight distinct spaces for relaxing before or after spa treatments or fitness classes. They include the Mist Aroma Steam and Desert Infrared sauna rooms, the Rainfall Water Therapy room, the Crystalarium, the Hamman Turkish Bath, and the Float Zen Zone.
“Wellness is so fundamental to our philosophy at Celebrity Cruises, that we continue to build and grow a truly special onboard experience where it is woven into every aspect of the guest journey from the stateroom to the spa,” said Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, CEO and president of Celebrity Cruises. “And, because we’re doing all of this at sea, which is incredibly therapeutic in itself, it becomes a wonderful wellness journey unlike anything in the world.”
Celebrity Cruises has also collaborated with OneSpaWorld to introduce a ‘Women in Wellness’ programme curated by female wellness practitioners. These include Katie Brauer, founder of the Yoga Professional and creator of new onboard Yoga Flow classes; Noella Gabriel, the co-founder and global president of Elemis; Kiki Koroshetz, wellness director at lifestyle brand Goop; Morgan Mitchell, Australian sprinter and athlete for F45 Training; Kimberly Snyder, founder of lifestyle brand Solluna; and Ruth Zukerman, co-founder of SoulCycle and FlyWheel Sports.
“In true Celebrity Cruises fashion, we have chosen to work with best-in-class partners in every category to deliver a holistic program designed to improve the well-being of the guest’s mind, body, and spirit,” said Brian Abel, Celebrity’s senior vice president of hotel operations. “The response to our AquaClass offerings has been phenomenal and we know this new programme, designed for modern travelers, will exceed all expectations.”
Fitness community F45 Training is also expanding its workout programme for Celebrity Beyond. The programme is led by onboard fitness experts who guide guests through the station-based, team training workouts in the expanded Fitness Center. An in-room fitness menu will also be available for guests, including hand-picked items provided by Goop, which has also created a new smoothie that will be available onboard.
