Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Solstice is to undergo a US$8.5 million revitalisation this October, ahead of her summer season sailing cruises to Australia, Indonesia and New Zealand.

Following her 22-31 October dry dock in Singapore, the ship will feature new luxury enhancements in the suites, including new patio furniture on the balconies, and an art gallery with a dedicated auction space. Meanwhile, the Photo Gallery will be refitted with 25 touch screen kiosks to enable guests to purchase professional photos taken during their cruise and download them to their mobile device to share via social media and e-mail.

In addition, a large movie screen and alcove-style cabanas will be added to The Lawn Club, enabling Celebrity Solstice to become the first of the Solstice Class ships to offer the combined cultural film and dining experience ‘A Taste of Film’.

Another highlight will include the reimagined Bistro on Five, which will be redesigned as Sushi on Five and feature a menu curated by sushi chef Yoshikazu "Yoshi" Okada.

“Celebrity Solstice already turns heads with her beautiful design, so these lavish enhancements will ensure our guests never want to leave,” said Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, president and CEO at Celebrity Cruises. “When discussions began about what we could do to further enhance the already stunning Solsticized ship, we couldn’t think of a better way to further delight guests than to offer the multi-sensory ‘A Taste of Film’ experience, Sushi on Five, the savvy new Art Gallery, and all of the other glimmering finishes. We are offering a truly distinct experience.”
