Kyriakos Anastassiadis is to step down as CEO of Celestyal Cruises on 30 June 2018, when he will be replaced by the line’s current COO Chris Theophilides.
Anastassiadis first joined Louis Cruises as CEO in January 2012 and created Celestyal Cruises as an expansion to the company’s portfolio in 2014. Since then, Anastassiadis has developed and strengthened the Celestyal Cruises brand internationally. He has also been chair of CLIA Europe since late 2016.
“Celestyal Cruises would like to thank Anastassiadis for his contribution to the development of Celestyal Cruises and wishes him good health and success in his future endeavours,” said the company in a statement.
Theophilides has worked in the cruise industry since 2006 and was named Celestyal Cruises’ vice president of strategy and business development in October 2014. He was appointed as COO in January 2017, where he supported Anastassiadis in multiple activities.
