Cindy D’Aoust is to step down from her role as president and COE of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) at the end of 2018 to focus on family priorities.

D'Aoust, who took the helm of the global association from current Carnival Cruise Line president and CEO Christine Duffy in 2016, will remain in her role until CLIA’s Global Executive Committee chooses her successor. She will then help to oversee the transition of a new leader.

"CLIA has been fortunate to have Cindy at the helm for the last two years but we respect her decision to focus on her family and wish her all the best," said Arnold Donald, global chair of CLIA and president and CEO of Carnival Corporation.
