TUI Cruises, Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours and Emerald Waterways have all become global cruise line members of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA). All three were previously regional cruise line CLIA members, but have enhanced their membership and bring the organisation up to 31 cruise lines.

“As the global cruise industry continues to thrive, CLIA is honoured to welcome prestigious cruise lines TUI Cruises, Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours, and Emerald Waterways as global cruise line members,” said Cindy D’Aoust, CLIA’s president and CEO. “CLIA’s global cruise line members play a critical role in, not only our organisation, but the cruise community as a whole and every cruise line member is vital in propelling our industry forward.”

Founded in April 2008, TUI Cruises is a joint venture between TUI AG and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. This year, the line will launch its sixth ship, Mein Schiff 6, and replace its older Mein Schiff 1 and Mein Schiff 2 vessels with new ships bearing the same names in 2018 and 2019 respectively.

Meanwhile, the 30-year-old Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours offers river cruises and will begin sailing ocean voyages in 2018. Part of the Scenic family of brands, Emerald Waterways also offers river cruises and sails to destinations in Europe.
