British cruise operator Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) is to offer its largest-ever cruise programme from Liverpool, UK in summer 2017.

Both its current flagship Magellan and Marco Polo will be based at the port throughout June, July, August and September.

On 15 June Magellan will sail a 12-night cruise to the Shetland Islands, the Faroes, and four Icelandic ports before returning to Liverpool. The vessel will then depart on an 11-night cruise to Spain, Portugal, France and Gibraltar on 27 June.

Meanwhile, Marco Polo will embark on a 28-night voyage to Canada on 1 September from Liverpool with 17 days spent exploring Eastern Canada. On 15 August, Marco Polo will then sail a five-night ‘Scottish Islands and Faroes’ itinerary, followed by a five-night ‘Grand British Isles Discovery’ sailing on 20 August. This also includes a call in Honfleur in Normandy, France.

CMV’s new flagship Columbus – currently sailing as P&O Cruises Australia’s Pacific Pearl – will start service in June 2017 and expand the fleet to five ships. This will enable CMV to offer an increased number of ex-UK regional departures than ever before.
