Coastlink 2025 will feature discussions on infrastructure development, expanding green corridors, the renaissance of short sea shipping and more when it takes place on 29-30 April 2025.

Hosted by the Port of Bilbao in Spain, the conference will take place at the Itsasmuseum (maritime museum) and will offer attendees the opportunity to collaborate on the future of short sea shipping and logistics, address economic and environmental challenges, and forge partnerships for a sustainable future.

Chaired by Nick Lambert of NLA International, the programme features a diverse array of presentations from experts, companies and organisations across the short sea shipping and ports sector.

“We are delighted to welcome speakers and delegates to Bilbao for Coastlink 2025,” said Andima Ormaetxe, director for operations, commercial, logistics, and strategy at the Port of Bilbao. “As a multimodal port on the Atlantic Arc with over 700 years of history, sustainability is deeply embedded in our values. We strive to create an environmentally and socially responsible port for the future and are proud to collaborate with the Coastlink Conference to host this milestone event.”

Ormaetxe will present on ‘Infrastructure Development at Ports to Support Short Sea Shipping’. The session will also feature insights from Derek McGlashan, vice president of energy, maritime and sustainability at ELIRE, Kyra Lemmens, commercial manager, logistics at Port of Moerdijk, and Igor Salguero, Bilbao terminal manager and hydrogen expert at Tepsa.
