Canadian expedition cruise operator One Ocean Expeditions (OOE) has appointed Columbia Cruise Services (CCS) to manage all operations onboard new ship RCGS Resolute.

From October 2018, CCS will be responsible for providing all deck, engine and the hotel operation services.

“We’ve done a great deal of homework in selecting a manager for the RCGS Resolute project,” said Andrew Prossin, managing director of One Ocean Expeditions. “Ultimately, we settled on CCS for its attention to detail and clear desire to be alongside with us every step of the way in trying to develop RCGS Resolute as a truly unique, high quality expedition cruise offering. The merger of philosophy, and experience from both CCS and OOE is going to create something truly special – the company has been equally determined as us to deliver on quality and integrity of our established brand.”

RCGS Resolute, named after British Royal Navy Arctic exploration vessel HMS Resolute, will arrive in Sydney, Australia in October 2018 to begin her inaugural OOE polar voyage.

“OOE is a true expedition expert that delivers extraordinary experiences to its clients primarily in the Arctic and Antarctic regions,” said Olaf Groeger, managing director of CCS. “We are proud to have been trusted with the full management of this prestigious project and are very happy to be part of the OOE adventure.”
